Dog nutrition: Free advice at Essex County Co-op
Published Monday, February 08, 2010
People seeking dog nutritional supplements in the Middleton area have been offered some expert advice on keeping their pet in shape from a local nutrition specialist.
Sue Young is present at the Essex County Co-op every week to give information to dog owners on ways to improve a pet's hair, skin, weight and overall wellbeing, the Wicked Local Middleton reports.
She has been giving dog nutrition advice at the shop for more than ten years and also handles its ordering of dog and cat food products.
The first step, according to Ms Young, is to read the ingredients on the label carefully before making a common-sense decision about what is healthy.
Regarding the prevention of allergies, she recommends washing a dog's paws when it comes in from a walk, as this will reduce its intake of pollen and leaf mould.
It follows news that Pets at Home recently held a free weight check at some of its stores around the UK.
